SCARLATELLI BARBARA (NEWHOUSE) Barbara (Newhouse) Scarlatelli, age 72, of Whitehall (formerly of McKeesport), passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Donald Scarlatelli and survived by her faithful companion dog, Penny; daughter of her late parents, Edwin and Elizabeth Newhouse. Barbara sold door-to-door encyclopedias from Maine to Maryland to Midwest for seven years. She taught herself to play the piano and the organ, then spread her joy of music to others by teaching for 42 years. Her hobbies were quilting, crocheting, and needlework. Barbara loved to share her knowledge and talents with others and was a member of the PA Music Educators Association (PMEA), the Quilters Guild and Quilters of America. FERRARO MARY ROSE (DRAGISIC) A lifelong resident of Trafford, age 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Good Friday, April 19, 2019. Mary was born on November 8, 1925, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Stanesic) Dragisic, as well as sister of Frank Dragisic (deceased). Mary was a member of the St. Regis Church Trafford, a member of the Trafford Sr. Citizens, Young at Heart, and CFU Lodge #541 of Trafford. She took great pride in crocheting warm and cozy afghans for all her grandchildren and was also talented in creating ceramic decoration, especially for the Holidays. Her whole world was her family. Never had a bad word for anyone! She was a special gentle woman who gave so much to so many. She was the greatest baker and homemaker, loved Croatian Days at Kennywood and picnics at Millvale. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Frank P. Ferraro. He was a man of quiet, gentle strength, deep humility, great faith and a warm caring soul. John was born October 9, 1938 in Weirton, WV. A son of the late Samuel and Pearl Ticich. After the family moved to Cleveland, he graduated from East High School and joined the U S Army. John earned a Bachelor's Degree in accounting from Kent State University and it was there that he met his wife of 53 years, Margie. He was employed by PPG Industries and moved his family to Pittsburgh, twice, Salisbury, NC, and Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. John's great joy was tennis which he played until stricken with Parkinson's Disease. John was a man who didn't need much to be happy. He enjoyed their condo in Myrtle Beach, S.C., being with family and spending time with the grandchildren. His legacy of love will live on in all of us. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Amelia (Day); fraternal twin brother, Robert; sister, Kathleen; and brother, Richard. Bill was a World War II veteran and joined the Rockets Drum & Bugle Corp after discharge. In 1951, he married Florence M. Price, the love of his life. He had a successful career in the printing business. He was a gentle, witty, kind man who took pleasure in spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a devout Catholic who lived his life guided by his faith. He is survived by his wife and their seven children, Mary (Wayne) Edwards, Susan Cuiffi, William, Linda (Michael) Ralph, Margaret (Scott) Heintzleman, Catherine (David) Burkardt and Patricia Curry (Maurice Rickard).
